Self Performed Surgery Now Airing on Care World TV In India

A new reality TV show- Marvels of Cosmetic Surgery has premiered in India last May 27.  The new TV series features Dr. Katsuya Takasu a cosmetic surgeon, performing surgery on himself.   The mini- series is composed of nine episodes aired twice a week every Wednesday and Thursday at 11PM on Care World TV.

The series, directed by Anant Mishra and presented by another popular cosmetic surgeon, Vjay Sharma, took over eighteen months to develop. The cameras captured the surgery that Takasu performed which involved a traditional face-lift with liposuction of the neck and cheeks.  It also included a subcutaneous forehead rhytidectomy. The surgery resulted in Takasu looking about 15 years younger.

According to Ajit Gupta the Care World TV MD, “Cosmetic surgery can make India an important tourist destination in India once such marvels are known. Care World TV also has rare footages of such surgeries that will be exposed shortly in other series”.

Dr. Takasu is the organization committee chairman of the Japan Society of Aesthetic Surgery. He is considered as one of the top 10 cosmetic surgeons in the world. He has performed countless cosmetic surgeries throughout his career.  He invented the Quick Double Eyelid Surgery and is a pioneer for ultrasonic liposuction. 

Care World TV is a cable channel with 24-hour programming dedicated to health and medicine.  The channel claims to have 35 million viewers across 138 countries around the world. The channel aims to run other shows featuring the marvels of other therapeutic areas in medicine.
