Health Robotics to Install Cytocare to National Taiwan University Hospital

The National Taiwan University Hospital (NTUH) has purchased a Cytocare Robot from Health Robotics. The Cytocare Robot will be immediately installed in the hospital. This robot will be responsible for automating the preparation of IV Admixtures for Oncology at the hospital.

Taiwan is the fourth country in the Asia Pacific to get a Cytocare installation. The three other countries that have the system are: Malaysia, Australia and Japan. Health Robotics expects that there will be more countries in the Asia Pacific to purchase the system. The company is targeting Vietnam, Singapore, China, India and New Zealand as target countries for the system. At the moment, the company already has ongoing activities in these countries.

The National Taiwan University Hospital and Health Robotics started discussions on installing a Cytocare Robot over 2 years ago. The agreement was finalized last week after the budget approval of the Oncology Pharmacy Director of the hospital. The system will be installed in the hospital within 2 months in October and November.

Health Robotics has chosen Double Success as its partner in Taiwan. The two companies will cooperate in the installation and support of the Cytocare robot at the NTUH.

The NTUH is one of the most modern hospitals in Taiwan. It supports the concept of patient-centered healthcare in which treatment is delivered bedside as much as possible. The hospital has more than 4,000 employees. The hospital serves as much as 2000 inpatients and 7,000 outpatients daily. The hospital also services about 200 chemotherapy treatments per day.
